Day Tour Itinerary: Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca
3:00 AM – Cusco Accommodation Pick-Up
Begin your adventure with a prompt pick-up from your hotel. We depart in private, comfortable transport heading toward the South Valley. Feel free to catch up on some sleep during the drive using the cozy blankets we provide.
4:30 AM – Energizing Buffet Breakfast
We will stop at a welcoming local restaurant to enjoy a delicious, hearty buffet breakfast designed to give you all the energy you need for the upcoming trek.
6:15 AM – Briefing & Trail Commencement (4,630 m / 15,190 ft)
After a comprehensive safety and trail briefing from your guide, you will begin the hike. The trail is mostly flat at the start and offers spectacular, sweeping views of the Ausangate glacier.
8:45 AM – Summit Arrival (5,100 m / 16,732 ft)
Reach the peak of the magnificent Mountain of Colors! You will have plenty of free time to soak in the vibrant scenery, take stunning photographs, and listen to the fascinating geological and cultural stories your guide shares about this natural wonder. (Note: The Red Valley hike is included exclusively for private tours).
12:30 PM – Well-Earned Lunch
Celebrate a successful summit with a rewarding, delicious lunch at a local restaurant before we begin our journey back to the city.
3:00 PM – Return to Cusco
Arrive safely back in Cusco, where we will transfer you directly to your accommodation or the city center, leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime.
